Aaron Wittrock

Composer, Sound Designer

Aaron is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, CA. The son of two music educators and professional vocalists, he began his classical piano studies at an early age, but soon took a strong interest in learning jazz. Drawing on these stylistic influences and with a love for Disney's Fantasia 2000 film, he went on to win the prestigious Maestro Award at the Los Angeles National Heritage Festival for his featured performance of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, accompanied by his high school's orchestra.

During his time at Seattle Pacific University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Composition and Audio Engineering, he interned as an assistant composer/sound designer for the commercial post-production company Fresh Made Media, writing music for clients on the international scale. In the Seattle and Los Angeles areas, Aaron has had the opportunity to write for and perform with bands in a wide variety of musical genres including jazz, classical, pop, hip-hop, R&B, indie, and electronic.

Shortly after college, Aaron moved to Los Angeles and soon began assisting Grammy-nominated Hollywood film composer Stephen Endelman in writing music for the Amazon Prime Original Series Pete the Cat, starring music legends Diana Krall and Elvis Costello, set to release in January of 2018.

With his unique musical background and childhood love of video games, Aaron decided to form a game audio company with his partner in crime, Jonathan Gross. Concocted in their studio, Mad Monkey Audio was created and is currently working on the upcoming FPS game Splitgate: Arena Warfare by 1047 Studios, the VR experience Pulse by MegaCosm Games, and StarTrek Adversaries by Puppet Master Games.
